Mandarin Fish has been identified in different diving locations in Papua New Guinea, i.e. Tufi, Madang, Kavieng, Alotau etc...

Real "Paradise" for Nature

The word "Paradise" is often used to express Papua New Guinea, but I think sometimes the meaning of the "Paradise "is misinterpreted.

There is no well-maintained walking track to see "Bird of Paradise". There is no Aquarium to see the underwater world easily without hustle & bustle of carrying tank and odd equipment.

When I am walking in the jungle to see the rare species of birds, sweating and getting dirty, I sometimes question myself, is it a Paradise ??

However, as for the nature, much of the them are protected without being disturbed.

Coral Reefs are intact & healthy, much of the Rainforest remains and become breeding ground for many species of animals, plants & insects.

And when I finally encounter the rare spieces and find out that they enjoy the life without human disturbance, I also feel that, "Yes, this is the Real Paradise on Earth."

So the real meaning of "Paradise" in PNG should be something like that---- Papua New Guinea is one of the last Paradise on earth where human being and nature still live in harmony.

The body design is so colorful that people may think it is artificial, but it is all Natural.

Fly to Tufi for Diving

Tufi is one of the premier destinations for Scuba Diving as well as Culture, Nature visits.
The only problem was access - there are only 2 flights in a week, Mondays & Fridays.
Tropic Air has started scheduled charter this April, mainly on Sundays, at the cost of regular flights per passenger. This will make Tufi more accessible by tourists.

Fjord in South Pacific - Tufi

Fjord is not only found in Northern Europe, it is found here in PNG, too.
Tufi has great landscape, most likely created by the volcano eruption long time ago, but now covered with green, making it a perfect Tropical Fjord.

Coral Tree - Black or White ?

Talking about Coral reef, we have received latest photos from Walindi resort.
The Coral tree on the left is called Black Coral Tree, but it is not Black at all: it is all in white just in time for Christmas season. - just as if the tree was covered by snow. Only school of Barracuda is telling us the fact that it was taken in the tropical ocean.
Walindi Plantation Resort, set among the tropical jungle in Kimbe Bay is an internationally renowned Diving Resort, but also famous among the Bird Watchers and Nature Lovers.

Surf is Up !!

With North-West Monsoon Swell coming in, Papua New Guinea is in the middle of Surf Season.

We work closely with Surfing Association of Papua New Guinea and orgaize surf trips to Kavieng & Vanimo.

If you are looking for casual, fun wave, Kavieng (or New Ireland) is best place with more selection of accommodations. If your family is non-surfer, there are snorkelling, diving, fishing, and land tours available. The surfing style is basically boat trip looking for best wave for the day.

On the other hand, if you are hard-core surfer looking for a powerful wave, nobody disputes that Vanimo is No.1 spot. Thers is a beach point catring for both Regular & Goofy.

In either way, the biggest advantage of surfing in PNG is that you can surf without fighting for a best wave.

Surf Season runs from November to April, and all the quality waves are waiting for you to be exploered !!
